We are looking for a Customs Operations Specialist to join our Global Customs Operations team in Zurich. You will work closely with our Supply Chain, Warehouse and Customs Compliance teams as well as with our Suppliers and Customs Brokers to assure that our end-to-end Customs inbound operations are seamless and compliant.

Your Mission

Overview the preparation and reviewing process of all customs documentation for inbound shipments to ensure completeness and correct information. Assure that preferential certificates of origin are provided on time, and correctly. Maintain all customs documentation for audit purposes. Ensure Customs Brokers have the relevant commodity codes.Ensure customs clearance is executed timely. ​​Liaise with internal On stakeholders to provide customs clearance status updates.
Be the main point of contact for our nominated customs brokers, overview customs documentation sharing and provide ad hoc support on daily requests. Review and monitor customs broker’s KPIs and run QBRs. Prepare monthly customs reports to check the customs duties paid, the customs values and the volume of entries. Prepare monthly tracking reports for customs clearance invoicing costs. Assist on continuous improvements to streamline our customs operations for greater efficiency and accountability.

Your story

2+ years of experience in Logistics, Customs, or Import and Export process; You have successfully completed a degree in international management, logistics, economics, international trade, or you have a customs broker background/license; You have practical experience with customs law, import procedures, customs values and preferential origin procedures. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage cross-functional topics, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines; Able to deal with different stakeholders, excellent communication skills, Able to translate complex technical issues to non-experts; Utilizes data as basis for decision making; Passionate about setting up seamless processes; Problem solving mindset and good project management skills; Fluency in English; Experience in data science/analytics is a plus
