The world’s fastest-growing running brand is seeking a Data Product Owner to join the fast-paced Commercial Analytics team. Our mission is to partner with our business, data engineering and analyst teams to capture and understand the business needs and translate these into deliverable data products for the data engineers. You will have a critical role working with our stakeholders to represent the data product vision and voice the interest of the Commercial Data team. You will be a passionate advocate for your stakeholders, driving deliverables to completion.

This is a brand new role in our function, so you would have a great opportunity to make a major impact. This role can be based from either our Berlin or Zurich offices, we operate a hybrid working model.

Your Mission

  • As a Product Owner for Data Products, you will take ownership for the data workstream within specific projects to ensure our Data strategy is understood, implemented and aligned with the data needs of the respective project.

  • Oversee the implementation of commercial data products from translating stakeholder needs into clear and concise user stories, gathering feature requests and prioritizing tasks to hand-over and end-user training (ETL pipelines, data models, dashboards, Looker Explores)

  • Act as a competent contact person for data questions and solve problems in coordination with the respective stakeholders for commercial data product-related topics

  • Identify relevant stakeholders, data owners, data stewards and other data experts necessary to run the project and ensure an end-to-end view beyond the Commercial Analytics domain in all data artefacts and underlying data infrastructure

  • Represent the product backlog and act as an interface between data engineering, the business teams, the central platform team and other internal stakeholders

  • Help us build, maintain and grow our tools and processes and own the documentation in our Commercial Analytics domain to ensure high impact on business outcomes

Your story

  • You have 4+ years of experience in a data role (Data Product Owner, Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst or similar role), or a proven track record of managing and delivering digital products

  • You possess interdisciplinary, systemic, end-to-end thinking and analytical skills

  • You have experience using JIRA, Asana, Confluence or other user story and task management tool for requirements capturing

  • You have a strong sense of ownership and experience working with agile methodologies

  • You are comfortable managing multiple concurrent tasks and have the capacity and willingness to completely own the lifecycle with minimal oversight. You have a flair for detail and the translation of data concepts to a wide audience

  • You understand the basics of data warehousing, data modeling and ETL concepts,experience with data engineering projects is a plus

  • Enthusiastic about innovating, excited to continuously learn and curious to understand existing and new technology trends in the data space
