In short

In this role you will be driving a wide range of exciting tech projects across all areas of retail and will directly influece how we grow as a brand, digitally and physically. Your area of repsonibility is mainly focused on the planning and supervision of tech installations for our new store openings. In addition you will also centrally orchestrate global software updates and drive a variety of development projects including system integrations and new country implementations. Together with other teams at On, you will assess and drive new ideas to inspire the next generation in retail technologies, both customer and company facing.

Your Mission

  • Serve as primary point of contact of On´s retail tech department for internal and external partners during new store opening projects

  • Plan and supervise the tech installation in new stores in close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as IT and construction

  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of tech equipment as well as on-site installations performed by internal and external teams during new store openings

  • Assess and prioritise new development ideas to prepare them for internal potential project planning and business case overview

  • Manage and facilitate the execution of qualified software development projects from discovery phase to production and steady state

  • Review and pre-test new software features to evaluate their relevance for our global retail operations

  • Manage and coordinate on-site pilot projects of new features, ongoing improvements as well as version updates and its consecutive rollouts

  • Manage time, scope and budget for development projects that are executed in collaboration with external vendors

Your story

  • 3-5 years experience as project manager or product manager/owner, Engineering or Computer Science degree is a strong asset

  • Proven track record to manage IT & software projects and / or new store opening projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Detail oriented and motivated professional with desire to push the boundaries of conservative retail and process optimisation

  • Data driven personality with strong communication & problem solving skills

  • Hands on and entrepreneurial mentality

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Retail - Bonus

As part of the global retail team you will collaborate with retail functions like tech specialists on the ground and other project management functions. Additionally you will also have a variety of touch points with cross-functional teams from construction, digital innovation, IT and trade marketing to facilitate new store openings and spur a wide array of software development projects.
