On is on a mission to ignite the human spirit through movement. We have deep roots in running and must reinforce our credibility with core running communities, while developing relevance with different kinds of runners. To serve this ambition, we are building a dynamic Brand PR team across Europe and seeking a dynamic PR expert with a strong connection to running and outdoor sport across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). In this newly-formed role, you will collaborate with our social, influencer and broader marketing teams to craft impactful PR strategies and activations. You will manage a wide variety of media relationships in pursuit of compelling stories that resonate on a local level as part of a seamless integrated consumer journey.

Your Mission

  • Use your connections to help On grow its credibility with dedicated runners and its relevance with everyday runners
  • Own the local PR strategy and roadmap of product launches, brand campaigns, cultural events and sports moments
  • Work with the DACH Marketing team and EMEA Brand PR Lead to turn global ideas into compelling local narratives and distinctive earned media coverage
  • Bring and build relationships with DACH media and stakeholders, turning key journalists and other opinion leaders into On fans
  • Manage an external PR agency on planning, media outreach and PR activations
  • Identify emerging channels to meaningfully connect with our communities

Your story

  • You have 5 years of relevant experience (PR department, agency, athlete representation, etc.)
  • You have executed impactful consumer PR campaigns from start to finish
  • You have close relationships with a wide variety of DACH media
  • You are plugged into movement culture and the region’s other influential communities
  • You are fluent in English and German

About the Team

You will sit at the intersection of several incredible teams packed with talented people spread across Berlin, Zurich and London. On is a Swiss company with a stunning new building in Zurich and growing offices in Berlin and London. This role will be based in Zurich or Berlin, but the work will be hybrid and flexible, and you will be supported to fit movement into your schedule.
