In short

In this role you will directly impact how the most exciting and fastest growing sportswear brand expands its retail stores in the European market. You will utilise your versatile skillset in information technologies to open new stores equipped with the latest retail technologies. Additionally, you ensure excellent operations in all existing stores by training the team and supporting them with troubleshooting so they can deliver the WOW experience to our customers. You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external departments to maintain the operational system backbone of On’s retail infrastructure in Europe, as well as bringing the latest innovations in retail technologies to life for both customers and our internal teams.

Your Mission

Driving the tech installation during new store openings:

  • Fully own the on-site tech installation for new store openings across Europe including the collaboration with and coordination of external vendors in person or remotely

  • Train our retail teams to confidently use all digital in-store solutions to ensure they are able to deliver an outstanding customer experience

Deliver operational excellence in existing stores:

  • Maintain and improve IT systems in operating European stores together with in-house & external specialists (e.g. bug fixing, troubleshooting, consistent improvements and updates)

  • Act as main point of contact for European retail store teams for IT related topics

  • Perform regular health checks across all European retail store IT systems

  • Execute testing of new processes and software updates

  • Support piloting of digital innovation projects in On’s own retail channels, including potential transfer to other channels

Note: Frequent travel across Europe and selectively to countries outside Europe will be required for this role.

Your story

  • +3 years experience in IT software & hardware support

  • Experience in field service is a strong plus

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree a strong asset

  • Proven track record to execute IT & operational projects

  • Ability to work independently on fast-paced projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Detail oriented and motivated professional with desire to push the boundaries of conservative retail and process optimisation

  • Strong analytical-, diagnostic-, and problem-solving skills

  • Passion for technology and innovation in hard- and software

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Hands-on and entrepreneurial mentality

About the Team

As you might expect from a sportswear brand with an emphasis on performance, the Retail Team at On is a fast-paced place to be. As part of the global retail team, you will collaborate with colleagues from other retail functions and other Retail Tech Specialists around the world. You will also have a variety of touch points with cross functional teams such as construction, IT, and trade marketing to coordinate and execute installations during new store openings.
