Product Operations Specialist, Zurich
As a subject matter expert, the Product Compliance Lead will ensure all of On’s products are compliant in the markets in which we operate (EMEA, NA, Latin America, and Asia). You will be working closely with various stakeholders to create a comprehensive strategy with a consistent and pragmatic approach to ensure that all aspects of our products are compliant before they are brought to market.

You will be a member of the Product Operations team and report to the Head of Product Operations.
Partner closely with R&D Teams, Sourcing, and Supply Chain to assess current compliance functions at On and build a comprehensive strategy to address, track, and resolve global compliance topics including detailed procedures for documentation, information sharing and system requirements
Lead the strategy to prepare for upcoming regulations on extended producer responsibility (EPR) for textiles & trims, including but not limited to, preparing a roadmap to provide materials data that will be required for disclosure
Monitor evolving regulatory landscape and communicate new requirements to concise action points in relation to design requirements, packaging and labelling requirements, restrictions on substances and components, testing and approval procedures, changes in the regulatory environment during manufacturing and shipping, registration with national authorities, and disposal/recycling obligations
Act as the first point of contact for overarching Finished Goods & Material compliance topics and coordinate action plans with cross functional teams in areas such as, but not limited to, product safety, product packaging & labelling compliance, chemical compliance, and material quality testing
Lead and mentor existing team members spread throughout the business to increase compliance knowledge and introduce best practices such as procuring and implementing risk & compliance software/tools
Analyze and communicate product safety, packaging and labelling, and waste compliance for current and new products
Respond to product compliance enquiries from internal and external stakeholders such as retailers, regional regulators, or consumer organizations
BA/BS from an accredited university
8+ years of relevant work experience with knowledge of product development and manufacturing or regulatory compliance experience in a parallel industry such as consumer goods
Subject matter expert in a variety of product compliance topics, such as labelling, chemical, physical and waste compliance, in at least the following markets: EU and USA
Experience with completing time sensitive analysis of compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions and countries
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) as well as the ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the global organization
Highly detailed oriented and organized
Problem solver with a proven ability to lead in a fast paced, highly complex organization
Must be a self starter with a high level of accountability/ownership and a team player with a positive can-do attitude
Quick and independent learner, able to synthesize organizational needs and system capabilities
Language Skills: Fluency in English
