Process Improvement Lead

The Process Improvement Lead will assess, monitor, and enhance operations for the product creation teams at On. You will analyze current practices and implement sustainable and repeatable improvements in workflows and processes to ensure continuous company performance. The Process Improvement Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity, under minimal supervision, and uses independent judgement to determine the best course of action. This position is a mix of project management, collaborative thinking, and consulting skills.

Your Team:

The Product Operations team empowers people and productivity through meaningful collaboration and a positive mindset. We strive to rethink the status quo and grow together. We ensure the correct information flow across internal and external teams and streamline operations by managing calendars, building SOPs, implementing software (such as PLM), and synthesising data across many channels. The team aims for operational excellence with a global mindset as On's R&D teams are located across multiple locations around the world.

Your Mission:

  • Proactively seek to understand operational challenges to gain insight and pinpoint opportunities for improvement by leveraging synergies and building efficiencies
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmarks
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to document current workflows, deliverables, deadlines, lines of communication, inefficiences, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide objective assessments of current operations in order to define process scope, boundaries, outputs/inputs, sequential steps, and contributors/stakeholders/owners
  • Lead project management of new processes/process improvements through action plans, project roadmaps (where applicable), detailed documentation, and regular communication to ensure project milestones and deliverables are implemented in a timely manner
  • Develop and manage clear and concise documentation of new processes/process improvements through step by step guidelines and visual diagrams via tools such as dropbox paper, miro, adonis, powerpoint, etc
  • Establish measurements to determine the effectiveness of the process and review and test the process to implement improvements as needed

Your Story:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, engineering or a related field
  • 4 or more years of consulting and/or process improvement experience, preferably for a company with physical products
  • 2 or more years of project management experience
  • Strong business acumen balanced with analytical and interpersonal skills in order to see the big picture and draw out insights and observations
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) as well as the ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the global organization 
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized
  • Problem solver with a proven ability to lead in a fast paced, highly complex organization
  • Must be a self starter with a high level of accountability/ownership and a team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Quick and independent learner, able to synthesize organizational needs and system capabilities
  • Enjoys collaborative problem solving and strives for consistency and efficiency in process building
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English
