And since learning is everywhere, our challenge is simple: to provide the right tools for our team members to take ownership of their development.

SPARK the new way of learning at On. Designed to take our people to the next level by providing them with the tools they need, it is built on three key pillars:


SPARK Knowledge Hub
By learning from the best in our business and sharing our specialists’ knowledge, we can ignite our team’s inspiration. With SPARK Knowledge Hub, individuals or teams create written, video or presentation content covering an area of their expertise. All the content produced for the SPARK Knowledge Hub is made available through SPARK Platform, our dedicated learning platform powered by Degreed.

SPARK Experiences
By switching roles for a day within another position or department, our team members get the chance to immerse themselves into another’s job. They learn more about other aspects of the business, as well as how other teams work. These job rotations have already helped people think differently and produce ideas to improve what we do

SPARK Live Sessions
Our team can also access a packed curriculum of live sessions spread across the whole year. These include monthly breakfasts, lunch-and-learns, and SPARK hours – weekly sessions hosted by our own team members on any topic and open for anyone to join.

Carlos Rybeck, Sales Representative based in London, UK, did his job rotation in Controlling. He said: “It was great to see the overall view of the company. I didn’t realize how much data we have access to, and I found it fascinating to look at how much analysis is done on the size curves. I like that I was able to give feedback on Looker, and I was also very pleased to see that we’re now able to show our account there previous size curves over the season (re-orders, pre orders).”

Olivia Ragan, Public Relations Manager based in Portland, Oregon, did her job rotation in Social Media. She said: “It was super beneficial from a PR perspective. The role of PR and social is changing with regards to influencers, affiliates, blogs, etc. It’s super important that both teams are in constant communication, making sure we're maximizing our potential."

SPARK enables our team to gain ownership of their development, the development of others – and the development of the whole company. A commitment to learning is a prerequisite for working at On. It starts in the recruiting process, continues during the whole employee life cycle, and includes all levels – from interns to the founders.
